This has been my family's go-to place whenever we go kayaking. They have never disappointed us. Always a fun time!
The company drops you off upstream and you float back down to the lodge. It takes around 3 hours if you take your time. Get out and try it.
Loved Kinni Creek. Paige, the "soul" proprietor, took great care of me. Stayed at the lodge which is really nice. Rooms are cozy and clean. Her staff was friendly and the fly fishing guide she arranged for me was excellent. Great experience. Highly recommend!
The owner has a personality of a rock!!!! If you can overcome the verbal assault, the river is beautiful and we had a good time. However, I would not recommend this outfitter as the owner has zero people skills, is disrespectful, condescending, and rude. I would strongly suggest that she take a very intensive course on how to treat her customers as I cannot imagine she has any return customers. In the alternative, maybe she should just find a job where she doesn't need to deal with people because she obviously does not like the human race at all.She tried to smile when we came in and it looked like it pained her to do so.Maybe she should hire someone with a great personality and she should be in the background of the business.The driver we had must have been related to her he has a big fat zero of the personality.He dropped us off and didn't say anything and just took off.It would have been nice if he would have said have a great time, I will see you back at the lodge or do any of you have questions? Also would have been nice if he would have helped everyone take the kayaks down the hill ,something would have been nice.For $180.00 I would have expected more . Even coming back to the lodge someone should have been there willing and happily wanting to help people with the kayaks up the hill and it would have been nice if someone asked if we had a good time and to be genuine about it. I will definitely find a different outfitter the next time or just buy our own.
The upper 3hr run was slightly challenging, yet very enjoyable - will try the lower next time
My girlfriend and I took the 3 hour kayak trip on 8/10/2016 and had a fantastic time. We had a Groupon for $50 for two people so check Groupon first. This was our first time kayaking so we took the easy route. It was beautiful, the river is super clean and we saw hundreds of trout. The average depth of the river is about two feet deep so you can get out of your kayak.
