Spent the night there for my granddaughters sweet 16 Birthday Party. The staff was wonder at helping to put the party together. Check-in and check-out experience was great. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Will definitely stay there again when visiting family.
Nice older outside hotel appearance in quaint community 30 min from cities. Food excellent, provided hot breakfast - excellent. Rooms well proveded n all staff excellent- goes out of way to support comfort n serve.
The Best Western was a lovely hotel. The room was nice, bed comfortable, breakfast standard. My only complaint was the spotty internet. I was able to log on once, but the rest of the weekend I couldn't get a strong enough signal. I loved that the "workout room" was the Anytime Fitness across the parking lot; so great to have access to a full gym!
Had a great stay over the Christmas holidays. The room was lovely and large. We had a fabulous dinner at the restaurant and enjoyed our breakfasts too.
One of the managers working the evening shift on Saturday night/ Sunday morning (10-28-17 and 10-29-17) was very intrusive. His name was Nathan, my friend and I walked into the hotel lobby at about 2:00AM and wanted to go to our room. Nathan immediately left the reception desk and caught the elevator with my friend and I. All we wanted to do was go to our room, but Nathan began asking us strange questions. He asked us what were we doing? Were we barhopping? We said we were just in town to visit our friends and we were not barhopping. We said we just wanted to go to bed, however, Nathan explained he would be getting off on our floor. This made my friend and I feel uncomfortable, thus we decided to leave the property. Pretty crazy, the hotel staff made guests feel uncomfortable to the point they had to leave the building. Completely unacceptable.
I hope to return here with friends for girl weekend and visit the shops and enjoy the river walks, kayaking and lovely fall scenic trees of this friendly little village again. Lots of antiques n primitive shops in this college town. Bikes for use, available - free n parks.
When we do, we will stay here. Excellent value.
